The first allosaurus fossil was discoved by Rancher M. P. Felch in 1883 in Colorado, USA. The Allosaurus was named in 1877 by Othniel C. Marsh. The Allosaurus had strong legs, and an enormous tail. It was also a fast runners and had two short arms with three fingered hands that had sharp claws. Its skull was three feet long with bony knobs and ridges above its eyes and on top of its head.
